It's June! Where did half the year go? Planting and cleaning and shopping and...gasp! Wouldn't it be great to just prop your feet up in a cool spot and enjoy a good book? Here's what I've got on tap for the summer.

Writing Heat. I'm halfway done with the fourth book in my Hot Shot series - where my cowboy Hot Shot falls for a daredevil firefighting pilot. The working title is Almost His Bride, due in stores in 2006. Can't wait to see the cover!
Vacation. I can't believe I typed that. What vacation? It seems my husband has overplanned his summer again. There's a narrow window of opportunity the first week in August...
Writer's Conference. The Romance Writer's of America National Conference will be held in Reno this year in July. If you'd like to meet up with about 350 romance writers and gamble, check out www.rwanational.org for details on the charity booksigning (Nora Roberts, Suzanne Brockmann, James Patterson - you can't lose!).
Reader's Conference. Celebrate Romance - a gathering of readers and writers - will be held in Lake Tahoe again this year. More details on this soon.
What I'm Reading (or planning to). Currently at the top of my TBR pile (because the pile has become really large) - Eragon (fantasy, written by a 16-year old - my 12-year old was reading it for months and I've finally gotten it back), Getting Real (Vicki Lewis Thompson, Jennifer LaBrecque), Perfect Madness (Motherhood in the Age of Anxiety). Tell me what you're reading!
Journal. I'm the first to admit I'm not high tech. Everyone talks about BLOGS (web-logs or on-line journals). I've got my on-line journal up and running. Check it out! My family is just as crazy-normal as yours!
