Met my goals this week and someone clued me into an interesting web site called TED (not to be confused with United Airlines budget arm).

If you've ever struggled with a creative endeavor and hit a brick wall, you'll enjoy watching this video of Elizabeth Gilbert (author of Eat, Pray, Love).

Welcome 2010! I'm going to post my writing resolutions for the year, but first there's something I have to get off my chest...

The holidays at my house wouldn't have happened without me. Innocent Come on - I know many of you agree with this statement.  We are the magic that everyone else believes in to produce peace, joy and a full tummy.  Now that we've made it to the new year, pat yourself on the back, treat yourself to something special and give a wink & a nod to the rest of us, those who pull off the impossible year after year.  We rock!

Woo-hoo!  I'm psyched to have completed a major rewrite of the single title book I wrote in 30 days last year.  It'll need a bit of polish and read thrus from my critique group, but then out it goes into the big world on a search for a publishing home.  It's almost the end of the year and I need to revisit my writing to-do list.

Read-read-read: I did just that.  In fact, I found that one house publishes authors with voices I really enjoy reading (in my mind - of course - I write similarly to them - Cool).

After shoving making the blog work and the web site sing to the bottom of my to-do list for the past 6-8 weeks (I did have important things to do, like write, ya know)...I think the web site is up and running!!!  Including the blog!!!

I have apologized to my sister-in-law (who originally recommended using Joomla to design the site) because she pointed me in the direction of an angel in disguise who knew exactly what to do.

Do you have a bridge to sell?  I'm feeling very gullible.

My sil told me:  Use Joomla for your web site.  It's free.  It's easy.
